Ubud Monkey Forest is a nature reserve and temple complex in Ubud area. This sanctuary is home to a large population of Balinese long-tailed monkeys or also called as Macaques, which are the main attraction of the complex. Inside the forest, there are also ancient statues and Balinese Hindu temples, which therefore this place is also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest. This place is considered as an important place for spiritual activity, economy, education and conservation by the locals. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area and open for tourists to visit from 9 am – 6 pm daily.
